(TEMPLE TERRACE, FL. – May 14, 2019) The Temple Terrace Arts Council is taking their message about theimportance of public art to the streets. Literally. On Saturday, May 18, beginning at 10 a.m., the Arts Council and City leadership, along with resident volunteers including members of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, will assist with the City’s first intersection art project at the corner of Glen Ridge and Inverness Avenues. The design, conceived by artist Ameena Khan, depicts the City’s iconic Temple orange and pays homage to the beautiful vistas afforded by the Hillsborough River.

Firehouse Subs Foundation Awards Grant to TTFD

The Temple Terrace Fire Department has new state-of-the-art extrication equipment, courtesy of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and Firehouse Subs. The Hurst battery-operated spreader, cutter, ram and accessories, valued at nearly $27,000, will assist Temple Terrace firefighters with vehicle extrications and other technical rescues.
